PREMISE

There is a sound. A song. A voice. A call. You hear it off in the distance and cannot find the source. You may choose to ignore it, going about your life. But it will get louder. Clearer. No one else can hear it, but you know it is somehow calling out to you. Suddenly it will be as if the voice is right beside your ear, echoing:

"Your world has spoken. You are needed."

You may turn toward the voice, trying to find where it comes from, only to feel yourself falling. As if the ground has dropped, tripping out from beneath your feet. Down, down, down into a psychedelic cascade of colorful lights glowing softly all around you. You feel as if you could stay falling forever. You blink.

Your eyes open and you are in the center of a depression of what looks to be an open air... auditorium? Violet-hued light beams down on you through the branches of an immense tree, whose thick, winding roots you lay between. Roots so large you could hide in them and not be found if you chose. At the edges of the large rotunda, columns stand with stones embedded in them. The stones reflect the twilight sun while rolling through a spectrum of colors your eyes have never seen before, but you recognize them now even if you cannot say why. Figures step out from the shadows, the same dazzling stones decorating their robes.

"Greetings Traveler. The Sentinels of Restoria welcome you to our Greenhouse of Unity. The Devourer comes for us all and we must bond our worlds to save them. We cannot save your world without your help."

Following your guide will lead you down a long staircase to another area of the Temple compound: The Hall of Travelers. There you will be given your choice of communication device, provided with your housing assignment, and be matched to the faction you are most compatible with: House of Stone or House of Cloud. Your House will provide benefits to you to help you in your new role, should you choose to accept it.

If you do not, your world may not be left for you to return to.

What will you do now, Traveler?

restoria is a jamjar game for original characters only. The Calling brings characters to Restoria to assist in fighting the Enders, a corrupt faction out to see the multiverse destroyed by a cosmic being known as the Devourer. There will be fantasy and sci-fi elements, action/adventure, and emphasis on characters building deep CR bonds with each other to save their worlds. The game is designed to maximize creative input from players and allows for influence by characters’ universes on the setting, transforming Restoria from a struggling world into a multi-planar nexus which you create.
